Olivia had her 2 month check up today. It went well and she got a clean bill of health! She weighed 10 pounds 8 ounces and measured 22 1/2 inches. I can't remember her head circumference, but it was right at 50%. She's a little fussy from her shots this afternoon, hopefully it will pass soon. Hard to believe that 2 months has gone by already!

Way to go Olivia! Jack's two month checkup will be late, on the 9th. He's was crazy high on the percentiles for weight and height at his 1 month checkup, so I'm antsy to find out new numbers now!

Wow! That's a great checkup! We haven't had our one month yet but it will be this coming Monday. I know William is already bigger than that. We were in a car accident last week (all is OK but it was very scary (and not my fault we were hit from the rear hard)). Anyway... he was weighed in the ER and was 10, 13 with two layers of clothes plus a diaper full of pee and poo. So, at that time probably about 10, 5oz... so I bet 11 or more by the time MOnday rolls around. Probably even more.

OMG Eli I hope everyone is okay! Make sure your insurance pays for a new car seat and cradle - the manufacturers recommend replacing it after an accident and insurance (at least up here) will cover it. Don't take any chances!

Jack had his 2 month appointment yesterday (+ 6 days), and he did great! He now weighs 13 lbs 15 oz, that's 97 percentile for weight, and measures 62.5 cm, that's 99 percentile for height - doc says I make 'em big and juicy
Head circumference was 40 cm, or 69%. (At 1 month + 1 day, he was 11 lbs 9 oz, 58 cm tall, and 38 cm head cir.) Hard to come up with questions when baby is thriving and putting onthe weight so well, which is a stark contrast with Nicholas where we struggled. He's already overpassed his big brother at this check-up, although those extra 6 days might be the reason, lol (but he started out 2 lbs lighter!) He does have pretty continuous gunk coming out of his left eye - massaging the tear duct hasn't helped and the eye is worse, so doc has us putting in polysporin eye drops to see if that helps - here's hoping he does't also develop styes like Nicholas. Doc says nursing every 1-2 hours is still ok, baby needs the calories obviously, especially if he's giving me a longer stretch at night without nursing. Last night, he had two crappy feeds an hour apart, and then finally we couldn't keep him awake any longer and he conked out - 9 hours later we finally wake him, cause mommy was in pure agony!!! I don't expect another long stretch like this tonight, but he's being a crabby little guy this morning, so I'm paying for it. He just won't settle at all, I might have to give him more tylenol.
For this visit, we picked up Nicholas from daycare early, and brought him to see the doctor. He's been speaking about the doctor lately, and when he had a bad leg scrape we talked him through all the proper care, and when I dropped a friggin' heavy wood cutting board on my shin on Sunday, he helped daddy take care of my bobo so mommy wouldn't ahve to go see the doctor (though I think I chipped the bone, so will have to see doc anyways, it hurts like the ****ens when I kneel on any surface). So we figured bring him along, and oh my god, this is the first and only doctor's visit where Nicholas didn't bawl his eyes out the entire time!!! We kept tellign him that Jack had to see the doctor, and he had to tell Jack to be brave, etc. And it worked! Of course, we really wanted the doc to check his ears for an infection, and doc make it all funny, letting him check baby's eyes with teh light, daddy's ears for any brain in there, etc, so he finally got a raport with Nicholas, instead of Nicholas bursting into tears at the sight of him. He was still clingy and wanted to go home right away, but the special car he got to distract him when Jack got his shots was just the thing he needed. Of course, it all helped that Nicholas didn't require any vaccinations this time, lol. Just the first time that we weren't totally stressed out about an appointment with him. And to top off the day, Nicholas ate watermelon after dinner. HE ATE A FRUIT!!! WILLINGLY!!! Still in shock...

Ethen had to 2 month check-up wednesday...he weights 12pds6oz and is 24 inches long. He's doing great for his age. He's in the 75% for everything except head size which he's in the 60% so he's okay.
