Calley - Where did you go on vacation? I hope you had a great time :-)
Loren - Im following your journey on GAPS, Im not sure I fully understand what it is but I sure hope it works for you and you and Kline can find some relief
KAJ - wow can't believe you are moving, what prompted the move? Are you going to try to sell or rent your home in GA? When are you actually moving?
Lora, Heather, Tia, Lisa, Bre How are you doing?
AFU - we are doing well...had a great long trip to TX. It was great to have MIL take care of the twins and let me just concentrate on Annaliese for a while, also got to catch up w/a few of my friends and have a date w/myself which can't remember the last time I had some real alone time, it was great :-).
No birthday party this year (again) for the twins, I'm sad but we just don't have the space to host anything so we will have to wait until next year to do another party. We are planning on taking the twins to the Discovery Center in Baltimore on their Bday and I plan to make a Cars cake for them and maybe I can bring cupcakes or something to their school. What is everyone getting their lo's for their brays?
The twins start preschool tomorrow, not sure if I mentioned that before or not but I called the school I wanted them to go to next year to find out about registration for the 3 y/o program starting in Sep and she told me she had two spots open up in her 2 y/o program for the remainder of this year and we could have them if we wanted them. We visited the school before we left and loved it and the twins had a great time too so we signed them up. The down side is the school is 1 hour from where we currently live but will only be 15 min from the house so from now until the end of April Annaliese and I will have to hang out at Starbucks while the twins are at school but it is only 2 days a week for 2.5 hours so, its worth the extra trouble...I hope so anyway :-)
Hope everyone is doing well.

phew - I've been gone a while! seems like we've battled colds, chest congestion & wheezing, and now the stomach flu. Time has completely passed me by!
gena - so glad you were able to have a great visit in TX and enjoy the help & warm weather! How is the new house coming? Are they on target for the closing date? Hope you get to move in soon! It's great that T & E can enjoy school now and give you some alone time with A. Since you're a little cramped for space right now it gives them a nice outlet and new activities, at least til the weather clears & you can get outside.
kaj - good luck w/ the move! Is it for your job? Hope your GA house sells quickly!
loren - congrats on the new job and I hope GAPS continues to improve. Poor Kline. Bounce house for his bday sounds fun!
AFU - the good stuff: we took a trip to NY to visit the ILs and had a great time. We figured we should go since the winter was so mild; dh's grandpa was in very poor health and had taken a turn for the worse right after the New Year. Glad we went. He passed away this week, so I'm happy we were able to see him one last time. He celebrated his 89th bday last week and I'm so very happy my boys had a Great Grandpa for 3 years
A beautiful life to remember.
Also, Evan weaned himself off the pacifier! We knew they had to go soon, but were dreading it. We stopped buying new ones a while ago & figured once we went thru our stash that would be it - once they got holes from chewing on them, bye bye wubbies. So, we got down to some old baby pacifiers that they never used. I guess he doesn't like how they feel in his mouth, because he won't suck on them. It's been about 3 weeks and he won't put them in his mouth (yet he insists on having 2 in his crib!). He just holds them. No fussing about it and it never impacted his sleep! The biggest miracle ever! Now we'll have to get Nicholas off them, and both boys out of the habit of having them to hold. Guess that's where the bribing with toys comes in
Haven't started potty training yet. Frustrating - I'm ready to get started. We had a plan & dh was going to take a few days off work, then he was sent on a trip at the last minute and that's the day the flu hit Nicholas. It would have been the worst possible weekend to potty train! So, we're looking at next week to give it a go. I'd like them to have a few weeks to work on it at home before we hit the road to NY for Easter. I'll let you know how it goes. I think I stressed about it so much already that now I'm just relaxed and "whatever" about it. Hopefully it will go smoothly.
bdays: no big party here. We'll do a family party in NY over Easter weekend, and probably have my parents over here on their bday for dinner & cake. I'm going to ask our neighbor if we can visit the fire station on their bday. He's the retired fire chief & had offered to get them a "private tour". So, if they can arrange that I think the boys would love it. DH will take the day off work and maybe we can go out to lunch after the fire station. Nothing major, but I'm hoping to enjoy this birthday instead of rushing around to make sure everyone else is having fun at their party. As for gifts, we're doing a wood play set in the backyard as their big gift. I'm also thinking bicycles. Haven't done a darn thing about any of it yet - gotta get moving!
Hello to everyone else! Hope all is well

Loren - Hang in there, I sure hope you get the relief you are looking for, my heart breaks for Kline (and you)!!!! That would be great if this new diet helped w/fertility too...that would be a welcomed benefit I'm sure :-)
Wow Heather sorry you have had so much going on. Hope you are all better now. I think the idea of PTing is worse than actually doing it, once you dig in, its not that bad. Good Luck!!!! On the topic of PTing I wanted to update on T...she is now 100% day trained, we no longer have to put her in pull ups for outings or nap time. I didn't do anything to help her along, I think it is just natural progression. She doesn't want to wear pull ups or diapers anymore even at night so to compromise w/her we put a pair of big girl pants on over her diaper for night sleeping :-). We tried no diaper and she was good for 2 days but then had an accident and since we were in TX at MILs home I made her put her diaper back on for night time. She will string several days together w/no over night accidents but then will wake up soaked on occasion still, so we are not quite there yet on that one. There are some nights where she wakes up in the middle of the night to potty, so I think we are making progress.
Right now we are scheduled to close on the house the last week of April, so I think/hope we are still on target for that. We went by it on Monday and the siding is up and all the sheet rock is up...i'm so excited I can hardly stand it :-). We have renters already for the condo so that is a big relief as well. We've had so much interest in this place it has been great, it gives us hope that we won't have problems renting it now or in the future
What play set are you getting for the boys? We had a play set targeted for the twins for their bday as well but now w/moving into the house, we have so many expenses that I think we are going to push it off one more year. There is a really nice tot lot in our neighborhood that is just a short walk from our house so we figure we can just use that one for now. We met our neighbors (next to us and across from us) and were so excited to learn that they have kids right in the middle of the twins and A so lots of playmates :-) YAY!!!!

Gena- It's a new job for me and good opportunity to advance in my line of work (college pr). Also, where we are goiong will have more opportunities for Molly and better schools. Plus we we will live near family. I am nervous about all of the changes, but I think in the long run it will be a good move.

Lots of moves and changes for people!
Gena, I thought of you when you were in TX. Too bad San Antonio and Dallas are so far apart. It would be great to meet some day! I'm so excited for you about your house!
Loren -- I've been following your GAPS diet, too. How does it compare to an elimination diet? I just feel so sad for all you and Kline are going through. I really hope it works soon!
Kaj -- huge congrats on your move! I hope it is all for the good and that it goes smoothly!
Heather -- we haven't tackled PTing yet, either. He is great when naked, but as soon as anything goes on he doesn't care to hold it. It's hard doing it as a working mom... I am just going to have to take a 3 day weekend and do it.
PTing question: Do you just not leave the house at all or do you take them out in underwear and bring clothing changes during the first few days?
Today is B's 3rd bday. I can't believe it, really. Looking at his bday pictures (party was Saturday) he looks like such a big boy. He is so much fun these days, and still very much a Mama's boy.34 yrs old, anovulatory due to PCOS
2 yrs of fert treatments -- Clomid, Femara, Follistim
Tubal pg 5/08
IVF in 7/08 resulted in our slightly pre-term but healthy son in March 09.

hands - we just started the PTing on Thursday. Evan did not take to it well, so he's already back in diapers and is much happier. Nicholas has had some success, and some misses. I'm learning right along with him. We haven't gone anywhere yet. Figured it was best for him to be consistent and give him every opportunity to be successful. We have gymnastics class tomorrow night, so I'm gonna see if N wil go for a pull-up. I don't want them to miss class, but also don't want an accident in the middle of the gym. I'll let ya know. But everything else we've put on hold. N started having success on day 3, but I'd guess we're maybe at about 50 percent success rate (at best). We're still doing diapers for naps and nighttime.
Yes, the LOs are getting so big! Can't believe it's been 3 years as a Mom! I love all their thoughts & humor & silliness. Even on tough days this has been such a great journey! Glad B had fun at his party - gotta love a bounce house!!!
kaj - congrats on the new job and GL with the move! It will be nice to be closer to family
How is everyone else?? Check in when you can!!

I just have to say that I miss everyone...even though I see you guys on FB...it's not that same...I know everyone is busy so I get it, just wanted to everyone to know YOU ARE MISSED :-)
KAJ - I'm so happy for you. Congrats on the new job opportunity and having been away from family for so long I can appreciate how nice it will be for you to be close to family again...especially w/Molly :-)
Hands- B's party looked like so much fun, great cake...Happy Birthday B. I thought of you when we were in TX too...I had the same thoughts about Dallas and SA being closer if you were Austin we probably could have met :-). DH's brother just moved to Dallas from Houston so maybe a trip to Dallas will be in the near future for us :-). BIL is heading up a new cancer research initiative there.
Heather - I would say you are right on track. Because of everything that has been going on for us the past year w/relocating and everything, staying home during the first weeks of PTing wasn't an option for us. We actually took the kids outs furniture shopping 3 days into PTing Evan. We just put the kids in pull-ups when we would leave the house. I found that it did not increase the likely hood of accidents. They would still tell us when they needed to go.
Loren - I hope things get better for you and K very soon :-( HUGS!!!!
The twins will be 3 on Monday...I am going to make a fun CARS cake for them. I have to do something fun for them even if we aren't having a party. DH agreed to take the cake to work so we don't have to try to eat a huge cake by ourselves...seriously I still have too much baby weight to loose to have that much cake around the house :-) but I want to make them one. We are supposed to close on the house 1 month from today woohooo...so can't wait :-)

When I did DS#2 last August (just before his 3rd b-day), I picked a weekend that we didn't have anywhere to go and I had a couple of extra days off of work. So, I had 4 days to work with in total. I did my best to stay at home or close to home. If we ran out to the store, I used a pull-up but tried not to stay too long. The first day was hard and we had quite a few accidents but every day got better and by the 4th day, he was pretty much done. Now, he still wears a pull-up to bed and most mornings he's dry but not all the time. He's 3 1/2 and nighttime is still a work in progress. Pedi said not to worry about nighttime. And he's a big drinker too. I try to limit his evening intake but DH doesn't get it.Me 42/DH 43
