    Happy Feb!

Heather- I didn't realize you were doing stage 3. I'm betting Evan could handle it as well.

Question about the toast or teeting biscuit...how do LOs from sticking the whole thing in their mouth. I gave Evan a biting biscuit and he loved but was trying to shove the whole thing in his mouth...made me nervous.

All time low with napping here...30 minutes all day and bedtime sleep was bad too..wouldn't go down to nearly 8 (usually asleep by 7:30 the latest) and then up at 4am ready to eat, back down 4:30-6am and then up for the day besides the 30 minute nap. Tried to get him to bed at 7pm tonight and had to let him CIO for nearly 30 minutes. Never had to do that before bedtime..what is going on????

lora - yeah - try the stage 3...I'm sure Evan will like them. Sorry he's sleeping so poorly. Hopefully just a phase & he'll get back on track soon. Toast: first I cut the bread in half, then cut small strips about the width of my finger. My boys shove the whole thing in sometimes, but they've never choked. They just keep this bread ball in their mouths til it gets soft enough to swallow, I guess. Gross! I'd say start with a small piece and try larger if he does ok.

AFU - Nicholas is going to PT a week early this month. He's been having what I think is a muscle spasm on his right side. He keeps scrunching up his right shoulder & his right ear goes down til they meet (KWIM?). It's like a tic that he gets every once in a while. Seems to cause him some pain, as he'll cry or fuss when it's happening. I think it's cuz he's using his upper body to crawl & pull up now, but not sure. Just bummed that it's bothering him, and here I was so excited that he was about to "graduate" from therapy. Poor little guy. Always a hurdle to get over. Hope everyone had a great weekend. They go so fast, don't they?!

Thanks Heather- he seems to be getting the biting concept now... likes his cheerios and puffs but I still put them in his mouth for him. I started to give him a little piece of bread last night but he tried to bite down on it and I just got nervous..think I will hold off a bit. I think he's a few weeks younger than your guys so I'll wait a bit.

Sorry about Nicholas's tick. Poor guy. Hopefully PT can get that straightened out quickly.

Sleeping is awful. After the CIO last night at bedtime, he was up at 3:30 standing and crying so I brought him into my bed b/c I was just too tired (have to be up by 5ish for work). He fell asleep on me right away but was up at 5 crying. I'm mostly concerned b/c the pedi noticed a very small amount of fluid in his ears a week ago at his 9mo appt. She said to watch it and to bring him back in 2 weeks for a re-check which will be this Friday. He doesn't have a temp, is eating and drinking fine and seems ok laying down but these wake-ups are so out of the norm. I'm going to see how he does in daycare today and decide whether I need to bring him before Friday.

I am so behind on the Jan thread so I guess I will just catch up on Feb.

Lora- Maybe Evan does have an ear infection then. It could explain the not sleeping. I swear I go through crummy sleep every other week and it lasts at least 3 days each time and I have to do the CIO all over again.

Heather- I am sorry about Nicholas having issues again. Hopefully, it will be short term and the PT will help it.

AFU- I can't believe that Adalyn still has no teeth, still isn't crawling on her knees, or pulling up. She will be 10 mths in 6 days. I guess she just wants to stay my baby forever. My DD#1 turns 3 in 1 mth from today too so they do seem to grow up fast like Tia said.

Here's what I said way back in January, but I'll say it again in Feb. so you don't miss it! ;-)

Had to do cio last night with kline, he was up from 1-3:30am and wouldn't let us put him down, He seemed ok,not sick? Gave him gas drops, orajel, and his itch meds, and nothing helped, so at 3am after rocking him while standing for 2 hours, both hubby and I , I let him cry.....it was HARD!! He cried 20 min, and feel asleep till 5am to feed. Hopefully we don't have to do it too often!

I have to ween him off the rocking to sleep thing, not sure if cio os the only way, any suggestions?

Making Kline chicken today for the 1st meat, boiling it, hope that's the right way to cook it????

Did I miss the Feb link? It's very quiet here for a monday!

Loren - What signs does he do? I haven't been working with Molly much on signs - the main one I do with her is "more" - after I feed to her to see if she is still hungry!

She recently started waving - it is so cute!!

oh he is signing "more"....and he is waving and dancing a little bit, too cute!

I think we are going to paint the main part of the house a light sage color, our bedroom a tan,I want to do our bath darker green, aka dill pickle (we'll have to see if dh will go for it) guest bedroom- light blue green, and klines bedroom baby blue and bathroom light yellow. Den's friend is going to paint a tree and a monkey hanging off it in K's room, she is a really great muralist (? on sp) in the area. Should be cool!!! I would do a lot more colors but with time not on our side, that will have to do! I love color!!!!

KLine must be tired he has been napping for 2 hours!
