Gena- I was wondering the same thing. Check out the Gerber website and follow their "Healthy Menu" tool for "supported sitters." It varies a bit but for this age they suggest:
bfast: 4TBSP of cereal + 2 TBSP of fruit
lunch 2-4 TBSP of veggies
snack- 2 TBSP of fruit or veggie
Dinner 4 TBSP of cereal + 2TBSP of veggie
+ bottles/milk of course.
So looks like 8 TBSP is probably the right now...4 in the morning and 4 a night

Good ? Kaj: I don't know??
Wow, everyone is so advanced with all the food eating.....poor K-man is just going to have to wait it out!
His skin is still pretty bad....I have been lubing him up at every diaper change and giving him 2 soaks a day...I'll have to get that aveno tomorrow and see if that helps!
Does anyone know what post pardum is like.....I have been really over welmed lately adn cry and get frustrated very easily. And I am super paranoid that something bad is going to happen to kline. I in vision all kinds of crazy crap happening to him. I just don't feel right at all.......and I think starting work has made it all worse. I don't know if it's just hormons or if it's something I should talk to the ob dr. about? Does anyone know? Thanks!!!!!
I hope you all had a great weekend and are keeping your shi* together better than I am! ;-)

Loren - I have no idea about pp but the things you mentioned sound like things I have heard others say...my advice would be if you have any doubt at all...talk to your dr. they will be able to give you more insight as well as refer you to specialist if you need to or prescribe medicine if that is what you need. I am really sorry that you are feeling this way...I know your schedule working w/ Kline has to be tough on you both. Hang in there and know we are all here for you.

Loren- I would definitely talk to someone like the OB and explain how you are feeling. They should be able to help determine if it is just the baby blues, being overwhelmed, or pp depression. I am sorry you are feeling this way too. I know there are days where I feel like that too, especially when Adalyn just won't sleep and my 2 yr old isn't cooperating. Then I usually feel better again. I think if you continue to feel this way each day it could be something more. We are here for you like Gena said.
Kaj- I usually will still pat Adalyn on her back after solids. I am surprised it all came back out. Maybe she just hadn't swallowed it all the way yet or something. Maybe wait a little longer after she is done to try to burp her. I don't know....Shannon age 34, DH age 35

Thanks girls! I am going to talk to my ob tomorrow...although not sure he will help too much, since he's not too sympathetic! We'll see??My hubby thinks it's normal and that I have just turned into super mom, not sure about that?
Kline skin is so bad...I think I may take him to a dermatoligist......not sure if they'll see a baby or not? I hate to put him on a steroid but he seems so uncomfortable.
I'm also thinking about getting a dvd player for the car and put baby einstien on repeat....not sure if he'll like it or not or if it will help? DO you think that's awful? I know tv isn't good for them but I figure crying 3 hours a day is worse for him. Or maybe just some ear phone for me??? since I can't help him anyway.

Loren -- definitely ask someone/doc about your feelings. I think we all feel that way from time to time... but if it's a pattern it could be ppd. I remember asking someone if you can get it several months after delivery and they said yes. Hugs.
Does anyone know when the next growth spurt happens? Molly (who's been mostly a solid 9pm-5am sleeper) was up every 2 hours last night, and ate a lot each time. Usually she'll do a quick nibble and go right back down. Last night she was quite fiesty about wanting more.
Hoping it's a growth spurt and not a change in pattern. I need at least one LO to sleep through the night. My 2.5 year old is regressing and DH isn't helping (as in he caves and curls up with her). Sigh.
Happier note -- we've been doing more exersaucer and Molly is loving it. Big sis helps her out too.
As for foods.... we're still only doing formula and BM... are we the lone hold outs? (Yeah, maybe the up every 2 hours is a signal that I should add in some solids. LOL)
-tia- Miracles and surprises happen everyday!
