Loren~ I had a vaginal delivery and quite a few stitches in three different places. (They were still removing some of them at my 5 week appontment). Sex the first time was pretty emotional. But I've been enjoying it more and more. (It's also helpful that I don't have an overcolonization of MRSA staph down there...which is how I started out my pregnancy...sex had been painful for almost an entire year up until the discovery of it..) It helps if your partner goes slow...I would also be on top so that you could control things a little bit more. My girlfriends all recommended drinking... heavily. It's not a bad idea for the first time...

Calley- SO cute. I am so jealous of all the hair. My 2 yr old still has less than that.
Lora- Congrats on the weight loss and I am so happy to hear you got AF. Hopefully that mean you will have a good chance of getting pg on your own this next time.

I gave Kline rice cereal tonight....he has been sleeping terribly the last few weeks on and off...the last 2 nights he's been getting up every 4-5 hours. SO, I gave him some to see if it help....of course after I gave it to him my LC said I should check with the ped. dr. first....did you all check 1st???? We go on wed. so I guess I'll hold off till then. The LC seems to be think food before 6 months is a big no no..........I know it;s better to wait it out but if he is hungry and gets in a pattern of waking every 4-5 hours that may be hard to break....plus if he's hungry I'd hate to starve him! He has been really agitated lately and really hard during the day..not sure what is going on??? Maybe he hates being a working boy? ;-)
We're back to work tomorrow so I probably will be MIA! HAve a great tuesday!xoxo

Hands did you have a bad tear?? My wonderful obgyn asked if I had had sex yet and when I said no...he said...." are you still married?" what a prick! YOu can tell he's a guy who never had a bowling ball riped out of his as* hole with forecepts!!!! ;-)

loren - your OB sounds like an a$$!!! You've been thru a ton (physically) and I wouldn't rush DTD if you're not ready. If you are...I suggest a lot of lube!
Also, I'm sure giving Kline cereal is fine. He's a big boy, and he probably is hungry. A tablespoon or two is not going to hurt before you talk to the pedi. Do whatever you are comfortable with.
lora - awesome that you started AF and your weight loss! That running has paid off! I'd like to get back to running, but walking seems to be all that I'm up for right now. Soon, hopefully. Hope you had fun at your sister's wedding!
Man, kids are waking, so I'll write more later. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!

lmo - as for dh not getting it sometimes - really? only sometimes ;P - ha you have it good. Actually I must say my DH is getting slightly better................
For those already feeding solids - any advise on utensils?
I am not sure it is my place to say, but someone asked after Bre, she has been MIA as her dad died almost two weeks ago. sniff sniff.

Loren~ I agree with Calley! But I'm not sure you should throw the forceps in! HA! Also, I wanted to hold out until 6 months BFing, but we started solids after 4 months. Listen to your intuition...
Calley~ Does it ever really get better?
AFU~ Tomorrow Cian is 5 months old and I'm feeling like we're past the newborn stage...I know we probably passed the newborn stage AGES ago, it's just finally starting to feel like things are balancing out now...there's a little bit more of a rhythm. A little more predictable. It does seem like he's trying to make sense of and explore his world more and more...soon I'll have to start using the word 'no' to him. He wants to drink what we drink and is very interested in what we're eating. This morning DH was licking his fingers after pb toast and Cian promptly grabbed DH's finger and stuck it in his mouth!
