Cloth diaper question

Can a pocket diaper be used as a cover for a prefold? I'm planning on using a prefold service (at least at the beginning) with our newbie and I found some cute fleece pocket diapers that are a good price. Can they be used like a diaper cover over a prefold that's been pinned with a snappi? Also, how many covers would you ladies suggest starting out with? The service provides three and I was planning to get three or four more of my own to try a couple of different kinds. Is that enough?

The amount of covers should be plenty. I haven't used a pocket as a cover but I suppose it could work. Depending on the type of pocket and size of the pre-fold, you could probably stuff the pre-fold inside the pocket...or you could just buy inserts and use those. I think you can make it work with a pre-fold though.

I would imagine it would work. I don't see any reason why not.

I used prefolds and hourglass diapers inside my FuzziBunz. They worked great. I never did buy any of the microinserts. I had about a dozen FB for my twins. I also used Velcro covers with prefolds and hourglass diapers at the same time, so my numbers might be different from yours. I also got my FB for doing some work for the company so I didn't have to pay the high price!
