I'm trying to make all my own cleaning products now for the house but what about cleaning toys and highchairs etc....will these be enough? What does everyone else do?

vinegar is a great astringent. when my girls were younger i used just plain hot soapy water that had been diluted. Good luck. I don't make my own but use Shaklee cleaning products and am pretty happy with them.

I use a combo of vinegar water (thats what our state day care codes recommend), shaklee cleaners, and hydrogen peroxcide (sp?)/oxygen bleach.

I got a Shark Hard Surface Steam Cleaner. Just uses water. I LOVE THIS THING! I bought it for 80.00 at Lowe's and it's amazing.
Just wanted to throw that out there.

Water and vinegar you really do not need more than that. You can also use a bit of dish soap on a cloth with water.

Our ped dentists how we wash the bathtoys and I said super hot water! If you let them dry they should not mold. She said how much bleach? I said none, that stuff is toxic and throws me into an asthma attack. In the kitchen I use vinegar and water on every surface (even wood floors and furniture). It does not leave a smell behind at all, well on the towels you use if you dont wash them right away your laundry area will smell like vinegar
