    Owen's wish

We went to the zoo Sunday and he wanted to put a coin in one of those donation things where it's a funnel and the coin spins round and round until it drops in. So we give him a nickle, he puts it down the shoot. I don't remember if DH told him to make a wish or not but as he drops the nickle down the slide he says "I wish for a baby sister"

We don't really talk about this all that much with him. He has an incredible memory and could have remembered a discussion about this 6 months ago. Add that to the fact that he sometimes plays with this infant toy (a glow worm) and calls it his baby sister and likes to feed her with q-tips. It's so cute but in a really sad way for me.

BUT this is pretty cute. We got a box of presents in the mail for him yesterday from his BM for his Birthday. He was excited and I told him they were from Miss __. He was really excited and I asked him "Owen who is Miss __ again?" He said with excitement "My birf mudder"

What a sweet little guy you've got there Nettie. And what a sweet "birf mudder" too.

The things they say just get to you, don't they? Along with O's sweet wish going up, I am hoping too that your wish comes true very very soon. I think of you often--the ache that goes with waiting is just so tough. Sending you many hugs

Oh Annette I wish for a baby sister for him too...

My oldest daughter makes wishes all the time for our baby (and she did when we were adopting my other daughter too)...with wishes so sweet and pure and innocent....you have to believe that they will come true.

LOVE the "birf mudder" thing. Awwwwww...

Hugs to you and hope those wishes come true soon.

I know I'm getting in line here, but if I ever have a girl can we work out some sort of arranged marriage? I promise I'll be a good MIL to him!

Yeah Loie, but you've heard him screaming in the background while we are on the phone. Just remember with the passionately sweet comes the passionately fiesty. It goes with the territory.

I'm with Owen, throwing my coin in that funnel wishing for another little girl for you too.

What a sweetie your son is and it's great hearing about him. "Birf mudder" - that is toooo cute!! I can hardly wait until Kasen can talk - or at least stop her incessant screaming! LOL

I have another wish as well - that your wait ends soon and your little girl is in your arms before you turn around!!

what a love the glow worm baby sister would break my heart too. I wish that soon he'll be learning to feed the real baby and you'll have to swipe away those q-tips before he puts them in her mouth
