How many different places have you lived? (cities and states)
I know some people have moved around quite a bit and some that have stuck pretty close to home so I was curious what catagory you fall into.
I've lived in 4 geographic areas all in Michigan. Born in Detroit and moved away from there when I was 10 yrs old. Moved in with mom's cousin for a year in a suburb while building a new house, then moved to the new house in yet another suburb until I was 21. I left home then to go to a University about an hour away and I've been here ever since. I've lived many different places around this town, but all in all I've never been farther than 1 hour from my parents which I consider home base. I'm sure we won't be here forever, but we live very very close to Ann Arbor and it's such a cool place it's hard to leave.

Interesting thread so far! Laura, all I can say is "wow!"
Ok, so I am way, way too boring when it comes to this. I was born a 1/2 hour outside of Boston, lived in the same house k-12, went to college a 1/2 hr away, then moved to Boston before getting married and moving to the burbs - all of 1/2 hr away from my parents. I guess 1/2 hr is the limit for me!
Actually I have lived in 4 actual homes/apts, not include college dorms/summer housing, etc. one with my parents, one on my own, and the last two with dh.
I definitely lose this one!

And my dad wasn't in the military if you can believe that! No joke. He moved us nearly as often as he got new cars (every 2 or 3 years). I tell ya...mom is so good at packing that she's completely indespensible come moving time.

Well, this will sound pathetic!!
Hammond, Indiana..briefly, born there
Chicago, Illinois, until 6 years old
Michigan, can't remember the city. Lived there summers only, as a child. Off of Sisters Lake
Palm Harbor, Florida from 6-19
Clearwater, Florida from 19-27
Back to Palm Harbor Florida, until present
Dh and I keep discussing moving out of state, but honestly, after extensive travel, I can't imagine not living this close to the beach. I love Florida. Not that many people who live here feel that way, though. I never thought I'd be one of those people who spend most of thier lives in one spot, but here I am. Dh, on the other hand, wants out of here. He wants acres of land and a little (ok, a lot) less heat
Melinda
ETA: Ok, you CA people. CA is the only place Dh and I both agree we could to move to. We love it, but we looked at houses
Expensive!!!!!
