Feedback on NY State Lic. Agencies and Lawyers Please

Hello everyone,

We're just getting started with a domestic adoption. We're not sure yet if we will use a lawyer or an agency. We've narrowed our list down to four of each. I believe they are all licensed in NY State although some of them are located elsewhere.

If you've had experience with any of these agencies or lawyers I'd really appreciate it if you'd post here or if that's not allowed on these boards then please PM me.

Hi! We did a private adoption as well. We used just a lawyer and a social worker, but I am in upstate NY. I am only familiar with Adoption STAR, and know many who have adopted through there and can only say good things about them.

we are in a similar position in nyc, trying to decide between some of the agencies you mentioned and looking at a couple of lawyers. we have met with all of the agencies and are still having a hard time making a decision. would love to compare notes.
